Goverdhan Puja is the harvest festival which has been celebrated in Vrindavana for over 5250 years. When Krishna was 7 years old He lifted Goverdhan hill with the little finger on His left hand in order to protect the residents from torrential rains sent by Indra, the demigod in-charge of rain. We will celebrate this event by dancing around a “hill” of sweets.
